I know you’re about 16 now and living in a motel with your alcoholic abusive dad thinking why am I here? What does life have in store for me? Well stop!!! This was meant to be. It sucks but without those three years of having nothing and living in one room with your dad you wouldn’t have drowned yourself in music. I know it sounds crazy and stuff. But this is what sets you apart from the rest. This is what makes you cope. This is what makes you sane. And above all this is what makes you, you!
You are an angel in the disguise of a musician sent to this planet to be put through hell and back in order to save people. Help them cope with their lives and relate to them. They need you more than you will ever know. This won’t be fun at all and you will hurt more than most. But just try not to be so hard on yourself. In the long run you will lose people that you care about. Just because you are unhappy doesn’t mean you have to take it out on them, long story short.
It’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how many punches you can take and still get back up again. That’s a Rocky quote. It will make sense some day.
Supporting a band with a loyal fanbase can be daunting, but it’s an experience Dayshell are happy to take on. Before their Glasgow show, we stopped in for a chat with vocalist Shayley.
